This one has high miles, compared the average. Even with the obvious meticulous care, parts and systems wear and unplanned events start creeping up, PM is not 100%. Nothing in the ad indicated a major issue or pending repair. The time on market is of concern, especially given there are several members offering references.
Don, as you know with a mechanical device there is no such thing as 100% reliable. I have seen plenty brand new coaches and trucks on the side of the road because of mechanical issues.
Any purchase is a bit of a gamble, the coach I purchased was a bit of a gamble. I purchased it sight unseen actually which is a first for me. I did know that the member was active on here and was doing upgrades to the coach and keeping it looked after.
This coach has history on here and that is definitely worth something. With any coach, I would take the time to go through the systems and check and update anything that looks suspect to make it as reliable as possible. FYI my 98 Newell is just over 200k miles on it and hopefully I will put 100k or more on it in the future.
Personally a very low mileage coach would put up red flags for me, that means it has not spent much time on the road.
I suggest you take some time digging into the threads on here about what kind of things these coaches need and that will help you inform your decision.

Howdy, I recognize your name from the BCM forum. As you know, the mileage is trivial with Series 60/Allison drivetrain. All of the house stuff and rubber house stuff as more time based than mileage base. My last Newell had 350 on the odo. I drove it to Alaska. The only problem I had was the TPS went wonky on me. The new owners are taking it back to AK this summer.
I know this coach, I know the owner, and I know the care he put into it.
As Jeff suggested, take the time to read the What to consider on buying a used Newell section. I echo Jeff’s comments, even the very best coaches that are 25 yrs old will have ongoing issues to correct. As an owner of an MCI conversion, you have hands on experience with that.
Then reach out to Gordon, and ask about the likely maintenance items for a coach of that vintage.
Airbags, brakes, batteries, inverter, genset, slide seals, tires,
Ask about the upgraded lights, alternator. Ask him why he is selling.
If you don’t want to deal with the complexities of a slide coach, do some digging on Keith Jordan’s no slide series 60 also listed on this site.
Just out of curiosity, what do you want in a Newell that you do not have in your MCI conversion?

At the risk of hijacking the OP, I'll reply here then create a new post.
Hey guys,
Small world of we bus/buslike RVers. OK, I did inflate criteria, so I'll remove there 100% reliable as even a brand new one is not `100% guaranteed. You understand the need for one that is tip top shape and service/PM well documented.
We LOVE the bus conversion and it is mechanically in super shape. The primary issue is scarcity of parts and service on these old V series 2 stroke engines and the chassis parts. Even getting 40w straight oil can delay a trip for. a day or more. Last issue I had, I had to use Permatex Right stuff for the pan as who knows how long it'd take to get a pan gasket or an oil pressure regulator from Luke straddling a weekend.
The other main hurdle is staying around 40', that length works fine and with a slide or two, whoohooo, as long as access with slides in allows reasonable movement and access to kitchen and toilet. <45' seems less common and <40 seems rarely made.
I love the Newell coaches as there is ONE source to get all the scoop on the coach and support from Newell is unique in the industry.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at any two slide Newell and the ability to use it comfortably without popping the slides out. My wife and I often didn’t bother with the slides on an over night stop. In my unasked for opinion, the two slide bath and 1/2 floor plan is the most desirable.
You may find there just a couple of Series 60 coaches made at 40 ft.
As you investigate further, you will find familiarity with the axles, brakes, and other gear used on commercial buses. Newell used the same running gear.
I owned and maintained Newell coaches for over 20 years and 350K miles of travel. The ONLY part that I had to source from Newell was slide seals. Other than that, a truck parts store, NAPA, Prevost, or Lowes usually had what I needed. Almost nothing was proprietary.
A challenge with the era coaches you are perusing is air bag sourcing. The air bag manufacturers reduced the SKU of bags they made to streamline their business. However alternate bags are available, they just require a bit of replumbing on air lines.

I feel safer buying a coach with 300k thats been well maintained than one with 100k or less thats been sitting for years. Believe me I worked on many hanger queens and not being used is the worst thing for them, mileage is a proven fact that everything is working well!
