i have a snap disc for 85 to 100 i will use if the relay does not work. i had already run wires from the cerbo to a terminal block in the inverter bay to control lights that i will repurpose to the fan.
my ceiling vent is directly over the multiplus inverter with another vent in the ceiling of the bay farther away.
i had chat gpt design me a stl 3d print file for the adapter plate to go from the fan i have to the vent hole. i had to do several iterations, i gave chatgpt the dimensions of the hole, how far above the hole i wanted to extend (my bay open up inside the frame rail), and the engineering drawing of the fan motor i am using. i used petg for testing and then asa for final (ore heat tolerant). i attached a picture of the final plate. you have to remember that chatgpt makes mistakes. the first adapter plate had one of the mounting holes for the fan in the wrong place it had done the 3 holes equally spaced and in reality the engineering specs showing one hole off center. all i did was to tell it that it made a mistake and uploaded the fan pdf spec sheet again and it admitted it made a mistake and regenerated the stl file that ended up being perfect. that is the print in the picture below.
i tried running the bedroom roof air off of the 1100ah lithium bank i have and in 100 degree ambient in the shop the inverter overheated at 140 degrees and shut down after 2 hours.
so next test is to do the same thing with the fan installed and see if it can keep the bay at ambient. ( a little cooler today at 97 in the shop. and see how long it will run on my current bank.
if it works (which it should, then i can do a final cleaner hookup and put it on the cerbo.
after that i will install the furion 18k non ducted chill cube in the bedroom and see how much less power and noise it is. the roof airs in my rig are all ducted (3 of them), but the ducted version of the chill cube is louder for inside fan and is not variable since it needs higher static pressure for the ducts. the non ducted is like a mini split. inverter compressor and variable speed fan inside. i can close my small bedroom off with a door so it should work fine.
my lithium bank is 44 calb ca100 cells i bought used for 15 bucks apiece and a rec active bms that is can based for the cerbo. if it ends up not being enough, then i will redo the battery bank with something different and go to at least 1600 ah.
i use wifi thermostats on all 3, but the chill cube is advanced cooling but not in communications. it uses a infrared controller and no thermostat. so i am going to use the hack others have done and use the celion breeze max thermostat to allow the chill cube to be controlled with wifi.
i will be adding a second 3k inverter to share the load better and that should make it run cooler as well when the 2 are in parallel
my goal is simple. to make it so darlene can sleep at night with the aircon on and not run the generator (which is under the passenger side of the bedroom). we dry camp most of the time now. we leave az in the summer to get away from the heat, so this will not be something that is used all the time. in fact in our april to august trip this year we ran the heater for the first couple of months....
we stayed at 25 harvest hosts this summer on a 9k mile trip in the eastern us and canada.
my superc is really tall, taller than my 02 newell was. with the taller chill cube on it is 13ft 6 so gotta be more careful than ever to not get in trouble.
jack and dean and gordon are all together today so i am sure there will be some heavy thinking going on with them.
