The poster Cody is an active member on one of the bus conversion forums that I followed for a number of years. About five years ago, he and Karl got into a similar conversation on that forum. Karl posted an eloquent response then also.

I am not knocking the self converter. It is a romantic notion to build your own. I did get into a bit of flame when I mildly suggested that there was no way that a person could buy a used commercial shell and self convert for what they could buy a used Newell of the same caliber of accoutrements.

I love this forum !!!! Unlike the bus conversion forum, or the RV net forum, I don't see folks participating in snipey differences of opinion. Thank you all for keeping it that way.
