I'd be paying shop rates; no time, space, or tools to remove and install something that size. I have one nearby that still does frequent work on older machines so at least they are familiar with engines that don't need to be plugged into a computer
If it's rebuild or re-power; I'd definitely go for a newer option as long as the cost is relatively close.
