First. Put a voltmeter on the leads to the solenoid and have someone trip the switch. That will answer the which problem is it question.
If it's the solenoid, those are standard Ford door lock actuators. http://www.carparts.com/details/Ford/F-2...lsrc=aw.ds
To post a picture in a post, and not on the gallery. Use the attach photo feature at the bottom of the post. Then after you have attached the file, put the cursor where you want the picture, and click on the embed photo box. You have to be in full edit mode, not quick edit mode to do this.
