the booster pump is to aid in getting the coolant to the various places on the way up to the front and back. on my 90 there were two booster pumps. one on the drivers side frame rail in the engine compartment and another up front behind the front cap on the passenger side. most others i have seen only have the one at the rear.
my 90 had a hot coolant heater in the bedroom under the bed and another in the water bay. it also sent coolant to the raritan marine hot water heater and the dash.
my 02 only sends hot coolant to the aquahot and the dash.
