from what i have read it is an issue with the dual cam version and the single cam version is ok. the 650 seems to have the issue more than the 600. dunno what years for sure this happened to. it seems to blow a #6 valve that causes lot of damage.

a 2012 newell probably has a 2010 or 2011 engine in it. maybe even 2009. the 2009 cummins from what i have read is the one with the most problems.
