Wow, I am not disputing your documentation or assessment. However, there is no way those bags are twenty years old. I don’t see any checking at all. Unless the checking was lost in the photo resolution.

Plus if you lookup the Firestone air bag catalog, you will find technical documentation in there that would allow you to confirm the number. The number is a hieroglyphic that tells you top plate, bottom plate, and air bag height and diameter. Compare that to what you have.
