Since every Newell is custom built to the owners specifications, it's what the owner wanted.
My personal preference (even though I'll never be able to afford a new one) is 2 slides. I like the roominess when the slides are retracted. It makes it much easier when traveling. When we were stopping for just a night we would seldom put out the slides since everything was accessible.
Each slide adds quite a bit of weight to a very heavy coach, it takes up patio space, and adds another layer of complexity.
But it all depends on your travel style, there are no wrong answers.
