I feel like this should be relatively straightforward, but I'm in the engine bay trying to figure out how to remove the air filter. The filter minder is close to the red line and I'd like to change it before heading to AZ but I'm not sure how to get it out.
Its not too bad.
1-Pull the CAC pipe off (thats the 4" chrome pipe under the air filter), I like to make sure I cover the pipes to make sure nothing gets dropped down into the CAC or the intake.
2-Disconnect the rubber hump hose on the pipe going to the fresh air intake on the side of the coach, I think I actually removed this pipe all together to make it easier to get the air filter out.
3-Then you can remove the air filter from the hump hoses. Take extra caution not to drop anything down into the air intake into the engine, that goes directly into the turbo and that can cause some major damage.
Reverse the procedure to install everything back.
I tried to make it simple, I am not aware of your comfort/skill level so I wanted to make it as simple as possible.
Guess I should make a video the next time I change mine. I have been taking a little break from making videos but its about time to get back to them. I have some good projects coming up on 490 that lots of folks might like to see.
