if you have a soft spot in floor over the drive axle is it more likely water from the duals or from window which doesn't look too bad.

I haven't dug through my 96 that deep but, I've got a queen bed on top of my rear axles. From my time underneath the coach i can see the foam is sort of torn up but, i cant imagine that Newell didn't put a metal plate just to avoid road debris getting into the coach from underneath it. If they didn't then a tire blowout could wreak havoc inside the coach. For this reason if you've got a "soft spot" above the drives id say its either from wear over time or the windows. If its the windows their would have been evidence of water intrusion long before.
