I agree 70 psi will cause problems with a slide seal sort of made my skin crawl reading that. I think you have something else going on can't put a finger on it as I can't see or touch things but you may have a combo of items that in all are leading you down this path.

It was recommended to me from folks here to put quarter turn ball valves on the drains for all the tanks it is a main source of leaks on Newells IMHO and dump the tanks a couple times a year, if you have excessive water in a tank is more than likely the tank that the 120VAC compressor feeds or the first tank off the air dryer.

Not sure if anyone cares but I use teflon tape on some things like high heat items but my go to is teflon pipe dope. Smile
