Yes, I did put it in travel mode first and that’s when the excess slope light turned on. I then turned the keys and the yellow lights started flashing.  They never stopped.  So, thinking it was due to the excess slope light. I took it out of travel
Mode and tried leveling it again.  I got it almost perfectly level with a bubble level but the excess slope light would not go out and the yellow lights continued to flash . I put it back into travel mode cycled the keys and still the yellow lights continued flashing.  I went out and checked to make sure the seals were deflated and pushed the button even though the lights were still flashing and the slides came in.  The excess Sloope light did not turn off until I head back all the way out of the driveway.  I was told the slides would not operate at all if the lights were still flashing yellow, but I guess that’s not the case.
