In my 15 years of commercial experience, when the suspension is being "funny" something isn't working properly. Overextension of the airbags is most commonly caused from the control valve internals going out. buying a new one for 60 bucks is a cheap fix. It's such a common failure part that most commercial drivers up here in Alaska carry a spare. I used to carry one for the tractor and one for the trailer, as well as an airbag for each. If you're really looking for better components with more adjustment, order a Hadley valve.
