Jack/Richard - thank you for putting up with my cryptic posts and answering all my silly questions…
Richard, sorry, I was in the midst of trying to figure out how to wire this thing… your 1st question is on point:
“Or is you question how to handle the internal transfer switch in the inverter that either provide power to the inverter circuits from battery power or shore power?” - there are 5 wires coming into the old inverter:
1) AC input for the charger (tied into the ‘filter’ - the silver box in the picture - looks like 12/2 romex)
2) AC input for Transfer (assuming this means the ATS in the cord reel bay) this is tied into the ‘filter’ - the silver box (CORCOM EMI Filter) in the picture - looks like 12/2 romex - Can I just get RID of the CORCOM EMI filter?)
3) AC Output (this runs directly to the 30-amp plug on the opposite side of the inverter bay - that can be used to bypass the inverter)
4) AC Positive to/from the batteries (not sure yet but will track this down today)
5) AC Negative to/from the batteries (not sure yet but will track this down today)
I’ve included the new Victron connections in the picture - it looks pretty straight-forward except where to wire in the transfer wires… any help is appreciated… I have a basic knowledge of electricity (enough to know to disconnect everything) but will find someone to help next week when we are down in Corpus Christi if needed… there will be boat places there that understand these things… Signature Solar said they would find an installer near me but never responded back…
