Yeah its been pretty weird for N Florida to get 9 inches of snow with 25-30 mph winds and 17 degree temp. Really put my mini split conversion to the test, it worked but we did have to supplement with the 110v toe kick heaters and we stayed nice and toasty. We never had to fire up the webasto but the heat pump started defrosting about every 15 minutes so it was getting close to using it. One thing that saved our bacon was this 1/4" foam insulation I made for the front windows, it has foil on one side and white backing on the other and good for heat or cold. Another useful tip is this wifi thermostatic switch, it can be programed from your phone and the best part is you get to see what the temp is in the water bay so guys like me who wake up wondering can check it.
