I cannot comment on whether the adapters will work, those 1 inch hoses are stiffer than laundry in January. So flexing them to gain space for an adapter will not be easy.

Boy howdy, that's an understatement.  If that is too difficult, can you replace the line back to the next fitting, the 1" line?  That high quality hose is wunnerful when new but doesn't age gracefully.
