I have the 1/2 drive Milky Way. It will also take off the lug nuts IF they were not overtorqued. I was very skeptical of the 1/2 drive until I used it. My data is one charge on the battery will do about two wheels. Just putting it there that there are alternatives. I don’t know how it would handle frequent use in this application. I also carry a 4 ft torque wrench. What I am doing with the new rig is loosening the gorilla installed lugs with the 1 inch air beast, and then retorquing to 450. That way I know the little gun will get them off on the road.
While we are on the topic. While reading manuals on the new toy, I ran into a section provided by Alcoa that gave instructions to put two drops of oil on the outer threads, and two drops between the kep washer and the lug nut. This was blasphemy to me, but it was official Alcoa publication. Do you guys have any thoughts on this?
