Ingersoll cordless impact gun
#7

From a commercial standpoint I've always put some lube on the washer. If the washer doesn't spin freely then the nut is trash and wont apply proper torque. My classic 96 though still has Budd wheels, (stud piloted). I have to remember that they thread both directions. and then be sure i carry extra thimbles in case i screw one up. I've got a box of 10 studs, thimbles and outer nuts for each direction. As for torque the nuts say 450-500 so I've always just set them at 475 and split the difference. I know on the team red 1 inch impact you can set the torque so it will auto stop, i haven't checked if this one will do that though.

Richard, speaking of the new one, we haven't seen a picture of your new one.
