My fantastic fan has a moisture sensor that closes the lid and shuts the fan off if it senses rain. It will reopen after a while and run until it senses rain again. There is a small rocker switch on the unit that activates the auto
function.

When my fan gets closed by rain I have to cycle the switch off and then on again before the fan opens up and runs. I thought it would automatically open and run when it was dry enough. 1 1/2 days should have been long enough to dry in my book at the time.
