Hi guys, appreciate both suggestions!

I have not tried the micro switch, I do believe that is the problem rather than the relay. I've been hesitant to drill out the switch without a replacement handy (it's riveted to the relay.) I find that if I have spares before I start I won't need any of them, if I do not I'll need everything. Just the way the universe works.

I have sprayed with silicon lube, it did help for a few hours. It's failing multiple times per day. But I have not sprayed the switch with electrical contact cleaner, I will try that next and see if it helps. What can it hurt, right?

I have not been able to get hold of the key guy at Newell with the answers to what is required when replacing with Amazon relay (scary Chinese part) or the Newell board (possible overcomplication?) they keep telling me to call back and at some point I'll get him - apparently he spends all day on the phone.
