A little follow up on my bent slide locking pin mount. I removed then remounted the locking pin bracket with 1/4 - 20 rivet-nuts.
I removed the bracket by grinding out the old weld, I then ground everything smooth and used a large swatter to pound the box tubing flat. You can see a small hole in the box tubing were the weld held and tore the metal in the box tubing.
I then welded some 1/4" X 1 1/2" flat bar to each side of the original bracket.
I then drilled 9 mounting 1/8" holes in the new bracket, I then mounted the lock unit onto the bracket held it in place on the box tubing and extended the lock pin through the receiver on the slide. (I had all the O-rings removed so it was easy to move the locking pin up and down) this allowed me to set the new bracket in the proper location.
I match drilled holes into the box tubing one at a time placing Cleco's into each drilled hole prior to drilling the next one. I then drilled out all the holes to 1/4". I used a step bit to enlarge the holes in the box tubing for the 1/4" rivet-nuts and set them with a handy dandy setting to I got on amazon. Since the rivet-nuts stand proud of the box tubing a bit I counter sunk the holes on the back side of the bracket so it would sit tight to the box tubing. It all mounted up good and seams to work like a champ. I also built some 1/4" spacers to mount the stop/valance mounting bracket onto the lock receiver bracket that are welded to the slide. this makes the slide stops a bit taller and also gave me a clean spot on the valance for the mounting screws.
I also went ahead and replaced the O-ring and lip seal on the locking unit so should be good to go
