I don't think adding an 8 airbag system to the 75 Newell is possible. I have 4 airbags in the back that are designed like add-ons to the leaf springs - the front is a straight axle with leaf's. It's a little rough ride wise. The Monaco kind of glides.
I'm going to do some carefull measurements,

This is my kind of fun though.

"Back in the Day" hot rodders would swap out a Mustang II or Pinto rack and pinion for the old school steering.
I don't think they would be stout enough in this application...
