I have a 1980 that originally had a Cat engine. It was replaced with a Detroit 8v71 I believe. I loaned the rv to a friend of mine who doesn’t watch his gauges. It overheated in spectacular fashion. So sad because the Detroit had very low miles. Now I’m deciding what to replace it with since it got so hot it’s not rebuildable. I own a wrecked Van Hool with a good series 60. Any advice here would be appreciated. It looks like the 60 would fit but maybe I’m better off buying something else.
