Jeff, the unit that we replaced used regular green ethylene glycol antifreeze. The remanufactured unit that we installed has the newer style tank and requires the GRAS propylene glycol heat transfer fluid.
After the boil-over and the six gallons I bought yesterday to refill the unit were at a little over $700 in boiler fluid alone.
