I recently acquired #676 (2003, >100K miles), I will pick it up next week. While doing my undercarriage looksee, I realized the rubber boots on the tie rod ends were gone. The bar still felt tight (firm, no wiggle) to be sure I will replace the tie rod ends. The above conversation is fantastic. Pictures / part numbers / websites are a great gift.
Based on the above, I am thinking these are going to be my correct part numbers: Tie rod right 28560 left 28561. As soon as I get underneath the supported coach I will get my micrometer out and take some measurements to be sure.
Any additional thoughts or suggestions before I start the above.
Going forward on all projects I will have lots of questions, but I will post pics and where I found parts as I go.
Thanks!!!
Mark, while missing those boots is not good on the tie rods. I would closely inspect all the joints, especially the bell cranks as they can have play in them. My entire suspension was loose when I got my coach, i tightened everything up and it was like a different coach. There is still room for improvement, probably tag axle bushings but its far better than it was when I first got it.
