The generator will not stay running when strter button is released. Solenoit pulls fuel valve open, but closes as soon as starter button is released.
Also the fuel Solenoid is getting very hot when not in use and genertor is not running.
It appears that the previous owner installed a after market one because the wires do not have a plug on them, but 3 seperate crimped ends. One wire(black)is going to a bolt on the solenoid to ground, one wire (red) is going to blue and yellow wires from the wireing harness, one wire (white) is going to a white wire from the wireing harness.
If i disconect the wires, let it set and cool off, the generator will start and stay running, the solenoid appears to be working as it should.
Shut the generator down, wait a couple of hours and the solenoid gets hot to the touch and stops holding the fuel valve open.
