Well I did a TON of work over the weekend. I did the tranny filters, hydraulic filter, engine oil and filters, and changed out my coolant filter and coolant to final charge.  

I took it on about a 2 hour shake down today about 10 degrees cooler ambient temp. Halfway I checked the tranny fluid and it was 4 quarts low so I added that and continued on my way.  Tranny temp settled about 216-218.  I thought I would see a drastic improvement over last trip where it was 10 degrees warmer outside and got up to 225-227. I saw Richard’s ran about 214.  So if I’m only 2 degrees off the Jedi master I suppose I feel ok about it. 
I painted the trans cooler inlet and outlet and hit it with the IR gun and it was 192 top and 193 bottom.  Not much “cooler” compared to the inlet and outlet

Well I tell you based on the color of that fluid, I would not be upset about changing it, I think it was due! 

Yea that temp is within the margin of error. 

So the temp in and out of the cooler depends on the fan running pulling air through it. You could unplug the fan controller so it would go to full speed and see if that changes the temp any through the cooler.
