Putting in a 1/4 watt 47 ohm resistor to mimic the incandescent indicator on the leveling lamp did not help any. (Swapped to LED indicator) It remains on all the time and the HWH chime still sounds off at a lower volume. I may have a shop look at it as this seems to be above my pay grade. I did download the HWH service manual and will read through it. Wondering why Newell adds a dashboard light for Leveling.
