My front slide rear pin broke the same way.
I repaired it and it broke again. The second time I just left the hydraulic cylinder un bolted and zip tied in a safe place. Been that way for 2 years. No issues
It still functions it just isn't doing anything but telling the HWH that the pin is out, or retracted.
