In this case with a thru shaft motor all you have to do is spin the motor 180 to change the direction. Yes I do agree I have seen motors that you are able to change the direction, generally on the standard one side shaft motors.

Well reason I ask is it seems to be blowing air the appropriate direction thru the squirrel cage it is just blowing it the wrong direction thru the coil.

So if I flip it 180 degrees then it will be spinning the squirrel cage the wrong way right??

We were just making sure that the fans are blowing in the correct direction. I am not saying you need to change the motor direction but that is an option if you need to change the direction.

Just verify the direction the squirrel cage needs to turn and then flip the fan and hopefully all will be well. You just do not know what was installed correctly at this point since you know the motor was previously replaced and appear they put the fan blade on backwards.

With the squirrel cage you can kinda picture how the air flows through it, it gets pulled from the center of it and pushes it out to the outside.

Here is an update. Put a new stainless piece down on the floor of the compartment. Sealed the unused front hole in the floor.  Replaced the fan motor. To get the air to blow the proper way thru the squirrel cage forced the hot air to be blown out thru the coil rather than to be sucked in thru the coil regardless of what way I turn that fan blade

It’s running and cooling and working good for now. Need to finish some final assembly

You might look for opposite hand fans as a long term solution.

Yes I agree. This is the finished product.
