2 years and 30k to make it liveable and roadworthy with you doing most of the work. 25 to 50k additional if engine or tranny is toast.

Hi Richard, $30k is a big budget for parts only assuming the driveline is ok.  Most items I would source rebuild kits rather than replace,  What are the priciest items to replace on a coach ?

The 8v-92 is turbocharged and supercharged. My 1993 model (316) is not intercooled. LOOK FOR CORROSION. Ask for maintenance records. If the body and undercarriage are sound 10k is probably fair price. I agree with Richard on cost of getting the basics covered. If it runs prioritize all new tires and brakes if they have not been replaced recently. My 1993 was drive-able with 125,000 miles when I bought it ten years ago. The engine and drive train and generator is in very good condition. I have done most of the work myself plus probably $130,000 total. I have repaired or replaced most everything because I don't know when to stop!!! Search this site for information on buying a used Newell.

I''m a buyer by trade, and because I understand wholesale vs retail or E-tail pricing I'm not going to pay the hundreds of percent markup, hence the reason i'm searching parts numbers.  I am near to the Mexico border and will probably buy the complete brakes and airbags for a fraction of US pricing.

A Newell may not be your cup of tea, they are expensive to maintain and require a lot of attention. I have no experience with having work done across the border but have seen some pretty shotty results on cars that have been there for repair and would never consider taking a Newell there.

So start pricing tires, 8 8D.batteries. A replacement radiator. 10 air bags. Changeout of all fluids. Thats just to get it rolling.

That coach appears to have been sitting for years. Sitting is the enemy.
