Probably only the old timers will remember Tuga. He passed away a few days ago. Cindy and I met him when he offered to show us his Newell.

Thank you. I owned 512 previously owned by Tuga. He was the quintessential southern gentleman. He told me the origin of his name was that he liked sugar as a tyke, ut he couldn’t pronounce sugar properly, so he called it tuga. He said I have been Tuga ever since

Thats a great story Richard, sorry I did not get to meet him. We loose friends far to often but it is that time in our lives.

Tuga advised me when I first started looking for a coach. He came to the 1st no rally rally in Austin in 2009, a true Cajun gentleman.

Tuga and I became friends thru the original Newell site. He and I organized the first Newell rally in Austin, Texas back in 2009. He was truly a Southern gentleman.

So sorry to hear about Tuga. I met Tuga at the 2009 Austin rally previously mentioned. He was a good man and I remember him with fondness.

Quick story about Tuga. Although he loved his Newell he also loved Prevost. He would go to the Prevost rallies to spend time with friends there. One morning he woke up to find the entire lower area of his Newell wrapped in aluminum foil. He loved telling that story.
He also gave us great info for our first Alaska trip.
