Tree meet roof, roof meet tree

I have a different thought on this... If there's no visible damage on the interior, I would leave the roof intact and place a thin new layer of aluminum skin over the existing. Keeps it water tight, saves labor/money and keeps the strong integrity of the coach. (It may be necessary to cut out the wrinkled portions of aluminum before placing a new patch)

I am thinking suction cup with refrigeration vacuum pump being pulled by a hydraulic ram  or comealong  hooked to one of those high trees I see while tapping the creases with a body hammer to get it as close as possible then finish with body fill

So after doing a little research, curiosity got the best of me! You can stud weld to aluminum, however it seems it’s also common that they use hot glue to adhere studs to the metal for pulling as well. Watched a video of someone working on an Audi with an aluminum door, they had like 10 of those pins maybe a half inch apart and a special bridge type tool to pull on the pins. Seems fairly effective, also he was heating it with a heat gun while pulling on it.

Yeah my body guy indicated that he could weld tabs to aluminum for pulling it out. I ordered one of those repair kits to mess around with a little bit. I’m on the road for another wee and a half and then the adjuster looks at it when I get home. I have time on newells schedule booked. And could hit Newell on the way home from wanderlodge rally in Cody. We’ll see how the money shakes out
