I have identified a coach near Columbus Ohio and am looking for someone with Newell experience to inspect it for me. Figuring that's not going to be easy and hopeful that someone might know someone, even if I have to have them travel.

If this is 567 it is very well known here as Gordon has been around since the forum started in 2012. I will say he is the one that shows up at a rally and has nothing to fix or complain about and sits in a chair and tells me what to do.
This is a tight group here and glad your going to be part of it. I hope to meet you someday.

First, always do your due diligence. You might want to find Keith Risch out of Texas.
I have known the owner of that coach for a LONG time. I don’t think you will find a more well maintained model of that era.
That being said, you are contemplating the purchase of a 20ish year old very high end motorhome. Expect to invest in TLC. Still, you will be way ahead of buying a production coach of similar price.
