Roof top red market lights
#1

Does anyone have a source for red version of this light? I can find the amber one everywhere, but not in red.

Clarke I found those last year and ordered some. I will dig them out and see if I am able to recall where I found them. In the mean time maybe someone else will have a source.

If I am not mistaken, Federal law dictates that all forward marker lights must be amber. Also, I think motorized units ie. trrucks / motorhomes need 5 lights across roof. Trailers need 2. I think!

Markers on rear need to be red.

Clarke: I had the same issue on my 77 coach where I wanted to replace the rear upper center clearance lights and could only find amber colored lenses. I too could only find amber in the shape you show in your picture.

7 years ago I was able to get both colors from Chuck Clark in parts at Newell.
If you have some you want to replace because they are dulled from age I was able to bring some back like new with rubbing compound.

I'm looking to replace the red ones on the rear cap.....I have five red on the rear cap, and 5 amber on the front cap.

Thanks Brad.....I have a couple that are cracked and need replacing. I'll be at Newell in a few weeks and I'll check to see if they still have some NOS.

Clarke I think I found some. I have these exact ones I ordered so if you want to wait until you are here and compare them before ordering you sure could.

I've dealt with this company with good results. They have the red lenses for $2.40 and have 82 in stock.
