i have to say as far as gps systems go, we were running my googlemaps on my phone, the iphone gps and the rand mcnally. all 3 would give different routes. so i am not impressed with any of them so far.
i do like the warnings it gives for heights etc.
we would pull out the ol paper atlas once in a while to be sure.

Tom,
My wife Karen loves to use the RM road atlas. She is a great navigator. Everytime we argue (discuss?) a route she is always right. I have the Garmin 255 which is 3 years old and I love it. I have only encountered a low overpass once in 20 years of RVing.
We were in a Chicago (lost) neighborhood and we came upon an underpass that was listed 11'6" - I dumped the air and we made it under with inches to spare (1987 Newell 40'). I think the underpass was actually 12'0"!
