Bob, how did you decide on the On The Go softener over its competition? It seem highly rated despite its rather vague specs.

It was highly rated, I liked the large mouth on top. I think it will be easy to drain and refill with salt. I liked the size, it just fits into the space that the 120V pump came out of. I went with the larger one because I'm a full timer, and this one will take twice as long between refreshing. It came with a 3 foot hose which was just right to hook up to the top filler spot on the water tank. So far it's working great, the only problem is it's still cleaning out the hot water lines, and I have to keep cleaning out the strainers on the hot sides.
