Hankook tires
#1

Has anyone got any experience with Hankook tires on their coach?
I know that Michelin owns 10% of Hankook.
And they are a major tire company based in S Korea.
And they are a major tire provider to the road race people ... Lemans.
FMCA recently added the to their tire program.
My dealer handles both Michelin and Hankook, and says Hankook has been a great tire.
He says the Hankook coach tires are made in Akron OH.
They are considerably less money than the Michelin’s.
Michelin’s are great tires just at a premium price.

You will find that the 365/70 tires are only made by Michelin, or were a year a day half ago when I replaced my tires. Join the Michelin advantage tirelrogranwbd you a save a substantial amount when purchasing new tires.

That’s correct, Michelin seems to be the only one making a 365/70 suitable for a MH.
BUT- Hankook does make a 385/65 which is very close in size.
5/8” wider and 1/2” larger diameter. Very close.
And $250 Less per tire Compared to Michelin advantage price.

Compare the load ratings on the Hankook to Michelin to make sure it is compatible as you have a lot of weight on your front tires.

Hankook 385 is rated to 9370 with 11.75 rim width, the Michelin 365 is rated to 10,500 with 10.5 rim width.I've run Michelin for 15 years so I am staying put.

Where would you find a rim that size that would fit under a Newell front end?

When I had my coach weighed I was within 250 pounds of being overweight when fully loaded on my front driver's side steer wheel. I had to run my steer tires at max pressure because of this. So before you look for anything other than a Michelin 365 be sure your weigh your coach! My coach originally had 315s when new and there was no way those tires were not overloaded. I am sure that is why the previous owner went with 365s when they became available.

I don't think Alcoa makes a rim wider than the one for the 365 tire, #803601, 10.5 inches width.
