Late Nineties on i 75 Northbound
#1

I had to run an errand in Ocala today, much to my surprise I spotted a cream colored Newell northbound on 75 just south of Ocala. It takes a second but the brain wakes up, and I think, I know that coach. The towed trailer was another reminder. It was one of our gurus. Jeff Lo Giuduice. I hope you made it through the Ocala madness without incident.

Very cool! I actually see a lot of Newell's but we live close to the mother ship and mostly on Hwy 49 going north or south, I often wonder if they are on this site and if they ask "who's that idiot waving crazy at us?"

We were heading to Miami, OK somewhere in Arkansas. We were buzzed by a new Prevost conversion. Natalie was watching them come up and said they had their phones out recording us. I'd have liked to have met up with them later to hear their take on our coach. The mutual appreciation of both rigs would have been cool I suspect.

Some how I missed this, but I have been sorta off-grid so to speak as we were headed up to our property in Tennessee. We did see a few Newells in our travels, mainly newer ones. Did see quite a few Prevosts as well as plenty of SOB's on the road over the holidays. We just returned back to Florida yesterday and I am catching up on things. I keep myself busy with my big kid sandbox at the property. I purchased an old JCB 3D backhoe that I play around with at the property. I am working to get some areas cleared for the future. Working on trying to get a place suitable for a septic system. I have had the authority that is responsible for approval of the septic system come out and we are going to be challenged to find a place for a traditional system, ie leach field. There are quite a few requirements that they enforce for the location of the leach field. I am going to be reaching out to a local septic company to see if maybe they can help me find a suitable location.

Thanks Jack, that was one of my first projects was to get some parking areas built. The soil was very wet so I had to bring in quite a bit of rock. That’s about 10 or so truck loads, luckily I have a rock quarry close by so it’s fairly inexpensive, around $300 a truck load.
