Holding/Water Tank Repair
#1

All,
I came across this article  and read with great interest as I have pretty much been resolved to think our Polyethylene tanks aren't repairable.  In this article they use West Systems G/Flex 655 to repair a cracked holding tank.  I have not used this method but have committed this to my memory bank for future possibilities.

For smaller leaks or fittings, Loctite makes a glue that bonds to polyethylene tanks. It works quite well.

I glued the output fitting on a 120gal water tank that held up for several years while I had that coach.

I have not had any issues, but there is a lot of videos out there showing how to plastic weld polyethene plastic as it is a thermoplastic.

Tools don't seem too expensive either
