AMAZON PRIME MEMBERS!!

Are you "thinking" that using their "Family/Household" option is letting your spouse share your PRIME membership? Well, we were...until I found out we WEREN'T!

YOU BETTER CHECK to make sure they're not DOUBLE-BILLING you!! I just discovered they had suckered my wife into a Prime membership and charged us $16/month for the past 2.5 years, on top of my annual subscription of $150!!

Before you wonder how this could happen, just realize that monthly charge can be disguised and buried in all the other similar named line items on the Amazon Visa. I feel suckerpunched, and found it only because my wife asked me to see if we got a refund for something she returned using our "Prime Visa"...which is the same card that Amazon uses to charge our PRIME membership...or should I say membershipS!  Angry

Figuring we couldn't be the only ones, I set out to research and to no surprise, IT'S A BIG PROBLEM!! I found many forums, reddit threads, and more. Amazon will "as a courtesy", give you 6 months credit. Big whoop.

In 2023, the FTC has filed and taken action against AMAZON for their practices of NON-CONSENSUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CANCELATION TRICKERY!! I'm not saying they fixed the problem, just that this reinforces that the problem exists and has happened enough to gain a federal level of complaint.

I just hope that my oversight and situation helps someone else from having the same happen.
