I slowly pulled into a sandy yard and made the mistake of turning a little too sharp and the coach came to a halt. I disconnected the toad & had Barb watch as I tried to back out and stopped as soon as she saw the drives start to rotate with no movement. I got the tow strap out & hooked the Ram 1500 to the rear hitch. She was able to pull me out in 4X4 Low and was excited that the first vehicle she ever towed out was a Newell.
The Newell doesn't have much ground clearance & we did scrape some sand with the generator/AquaHot exhaust pipe.

Thanks for posting your experience, its great that you were able to get out without any damage and an expensive tow bill.
I also had a similar experience, I was at a mini boondocking/maintenance rally at a friends place with our Wanderlodge and 3 other Wanderlodges. One of them got stuck in florida sugar sand, we hooked our land rover up to it and we were able to pull it out. All you really need is a bit of assistance, once the bus tires get some traction it does most of the work.
Just a reminder to dump your tag and also to lock your rear differential if you have these options. Sometimes being flustered by being stuck you forget about these things, I know I forgot about them when I had an experience on a soft shoulder. I have to remember to stop and breath a bit and think about what I am doing before I make things worse.
