Better wire nuts
#1

I've used these in the past and they give you a much better connection.
Might be the thing for our basement a/c wires. Unfortunately I've only found them in a box of 100. I'd like 20-25 if others want to split a box.

Forest,
Those are much better than the twist on connectors (wire nuts), these are much better used with Solid Core Wire and not Stranded Wire. The potential problem would come from the set screw making contact with the cable, if there is a plate inside this shouldn't be an issue.

Well if I have to buy them you'll have to wait until the winter since we'll be on the road until November. But I don't mind buying them and re-shipping them, just trying to get an interest going.

I don't mind buying a box and reselling to whoever wants some..I've got all of my A/C units exposed at the moment. This would be a good time to redo them if needed.

I'll take 20, let me know if you buy a box and I'll send you the money and address.
Thanks!

I found some at Canada Tire and bought what I needed. They were $2.00 canadian for 3 so were a little cheaper.

I like crimp nuts myself. They are much cheaper too. Chappell

But crimps won't hold on solid wire like on the a/c units.

I'm sure that would depend on the Crimping Device used.
I as well do not like Wire Nuts...
