Campgrounds for 45 footers
#18

Here are few RV Resorts we have stayed on our 14 months now jurney around US
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arizona
We have stayed in several places near Gold canyon, Mesa and Lazy days , Tucson, Lazy Days we heard all night long ambulance, police, train, plains flying low since there is pima air force base, lots of crime in the area of the campground! I wanted to drop 6000$ for radiator replacements , talk to the lazy days repair one day and they never get back to me again!! my gain their loss! we later had our radiator taking care of by Leo ( Tom's Mechanic in Mesa )

all of them ware your typical winterizing spots : elbow to elbow , dusty, windy and super hot with so much noise ! I would never go back there!

The best place we found was in small town of Oro Valley outside of Tucson its name is Catalina State park beautiful setting in High Desert with upscale town of Oro Valley , many retires live there and roads are brand new , the whole town is like was build yesterday! Biosphere -2 is in town of Oracle and must see!!

Park is limited to only 2 weeks stay and has 50 amps but no sewer hook ups! so u have to empty yor tank and just make loop around the park ( it has dump station ) this park faces biggest mountain around 9600 feet Mount Lemon , you cat take drive some 26 miles up to the top of it , its starts with 4-5 different zones, from cactus, pine to aspen trees and there ia small ski resort at the top !!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Montana
I 90
Nugget RV Park Saint Regis , MT

One of the nicest RV Resorts we found in MT ! right close to Saint Regis river & Clark Fork river , Big Sites, pool, close to town and about some 40 acres of beautiful rolling therein mixed in forest and meadows.

Jelly Stone RV park outside Missoula

Big Rig friendly some lots are not super level, great gateway to Glacier National Park and Bison National Refuge

Ennis RV Village Ennis, MT

Great RV park with large lots perfect if you are heading up to Yellowstone
Like to see Ghost towns and mining towns of Virginia City and its on the way to Yellowstone, right on the property they have 4 stars restaurant called Continental Divide make sure eat there, you be amazed!!
If you fly fish Madison river is the top trout stream in the world also Ennis lake has huge rainbows and browns.

Spring Creek Campground Big Timber, MT

Again very beautiful setting in park like with two fishing ponds , green grass and some cabins sits right on Boulder River remotely set , looks like little tight way to get in short dirt section with small bridge crossing creek, but when u get there is simply amazing , away from everything!
some 6 miles away your neighbors are Batman ( M Keaton) Ted Turner and more celebrities , that means many , many acres of free land and with lots of wildlife! Big Timber is not far from Livingstone and Bozeman, MT

Idaho

Buffalo Run Resort Island Park , ID about 35 miles from Yellowstone

Town of Dubois, is home to national Big Horn Sheep Museum, has local weekly rodeo, great few eat places , only one main street very remote
Lots of alpine lakes and small streams around , we stayed for month there and love it! daily trip will take you to Yellowstone ( 80 miles ) and 70 miles to Tetons national park as well as town of Jackson Hole, great for ATV riding , make sure visit Brooks lake & Ring lake area! you wont believe the beauty they have!!!

Beautiful setting this park has all, bird watching, water sports ( no swimming ) its drinking water for Ventura County its about 13 miles from Ventura ( beach ) and only 4 miles from great town of Ojai ( many great restaurants there ) This park has many phases , so drive first and pick your best site! we stayed there for 2 months and love it!

Motor Coach Country Club Indio, CA

I am sure many people know this resort its like #1 in US
We own the lot there and stay every winter 2-3 months there!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Oregon

Valley of the Rouge State Park Rouge River, OR

Beautiful huge park ( over 100 acres ) with bike paved trail to town of Rouge River 6 miles out and back fallows the Rouge river
Very space friendly park if you are tired or need few days in the woods , its right next to Highway but it was not so bad noise ways

Armitage Park Eugene, OR

We ware surprised by this smaller park , it was very nice and quiet and close to everything around this great Oregon city, very green and clean County park

Champoeg State Park Saint Paul, OR

Another Gem and surprise! huge grren park set of I 5 several miles , close to the wine country, we went each day and tour different wineries in beautiful hill side settings, very space friendly with lots of great walking in the park
Lost of small farm country roads around the area !!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Colorado

Mountain Views Resort Creede, CO

We are staying in another gem high quality campground right outside of small mountain town of Creede, CO at high elevation 8600 feet right on Rio Grande River surrounding by 12,000 foot peaks 360 views!!
This resort is spliced to private lots and other half is rental lots
Many of you might know this, Newell had small mini rally here few years ago! this week we have some 20 Wonerlodge coaches here and they are here for 5 days rally. Many rallies happen here!

Thsi setting is absolutely amazing in deep remote are of high Colorado Mountains, water futures, every corner of the resort has bronze sculptures , great gravel lots , Outside of Creede there is huge Mining Museum, balloon festival, lots of places to eat.
During the silver mine rush some 10,000 people lived here! now only 270 strong! hard winters here! close to city like South Fork, Lake City, Ourey, and more

Mecca for ATV's seems like 80% RV's are from TX.
If you want to escape CO Tourist Traps like Estes Park and other places , Creede is place to visit!

Next we are heading to NM, OK, KS, AZ & CA will have more info..
