Good Morning All,
After a day of travel, we lost our 12 volt lights, no light at all. Both 12 volt water pumps are operational it just the lights. All of our 120 volt lights and outlets are operational.
Backup camera is operational.
Steps are operational.
I have checked all fuses in the panel in the back of the coach.
Looked for fuses under the front glove box, none labeled to control the lights.
I have reset the inverter by turning the switch above the microwave to the off position for 30 seconds the back on.
The reset buttons on the inverter were not tripped.
I have 12 volts on the terminal strip to the fuse strip
Can someone point me where to look next.
JR
As the next step in our coach education process, my wife and I are taking a road trip to Miami in about a week. It will be her first time in the presence of a Newell while I have the extensive experience of seeing all of one coach. So, from those who have been to the factory, is there anything that we should be sure to see/notice/stick in our pockets while visiting? :-D
After Miami, we're off to dealers with Newells and Prevosts to get first hand looks at some of the differences. I'm either going to be more focused or more confused after this trip, but I'm hoping it's the former...

Coach 337, a 1993 39 ft coach is back on the market. Several weeks ago I listed it but then removed the listing when potential buyers were put of by the uncertainty of the transmission's condition due to the trans temp gauge gradually rising toward unhealthy levels on a couple trips last year. I was sure I had solved the problem by replacing the temp gauge and sensor, but had not yet proven it on the road. I have now completed three trips with the coach and the trans temp gauge is behaving normally.
It is listed on RVTrader for $45,000 and includes 4 new tires and an oil change since the original listing.
I'll not leave y'all, I'll still hang out here and help when I can.
Has anyone been through the Pisgah, Appalachians, and Cherokee National forests on U.S. 26 going north in their Newell? Just need to know if it is relatively straight or winding, and safe to do or stressful? I have my doubts, but would like to hear from someone's first hand experience. Please let me know asap! Thanks!

I purchased a used 1996 38 foot Newell RV and trying to figure out how the AC works. I turned on the generator and the AC worked, but the two back of the air vents had not air coming out and didn't appear to be any air coming out in the bedroom. I didn't have it plugged in, so the generator is probably all that makes it the AC work. The engine running makes the front AC work, but I don't think it makes the larger unit work. Can anyone explain how the AC works with the front, verses the middle and back?
Thanks,
Jerry

My name is Carol and I was very glad to find this site. I have been rving since 1990 and have owned several different motorhomes. I currently own a 40' Country Coach Magna.
I have ALWAYS wanted a Newell so now it the right time to sell my mh and find one! I am looking for a 40' one however. That length is plenty long enough for me. I am looking for one with at least 2 slides around a 2003. There is one in Michigan for $199,000 with 3 slides. It has been for sale for quite awhile which makes me nervous. It may have a problem with it??
Anyways, glad to find this site!

Last night my refrigerator and water pump went out. Went underneath to the inverter breaker box. No switched breakers. Unplugged the 30 amp plug from inverter and plugged it into AC outlet. My wife says something went POP and a piezo alarm started screaming. Unplugged from AC and went back to inverter. Refrigerator and water pump came back on line, but piezo still screaming, now going on 14 hours. Spent three hours on the phone to the Newell emergency guys, tried a bunch of stuff, but no results. Found that by throwing a breaker in the rear box that covers the "game table" and slide outlets. the piezo cut out. Unfortunately, it also shut off the refrigerator again Ice cream already melted. So switched it back on to keep refrigerator running. Cannot locate the piezo so I can rip its little guts out, sound is too generalized. So I have two problems. The noise maker is powered by AC through the rear breaker box and can't be shut off without shutting off the frig. Even if I could shut it off, it leaves the problem of what the alarm is for. Don't want to drive with an uncorrected or at least un-understood problem Ran all the usual scenarios with two guys from newell: no antennas up, no alarm on steps, not connected to batteries engine or house.
If I hightail it to Miami, I'll arrive with a screaming alarm on Thursday night and get to listen to it all weekend. This is really hard on the nerves. Any help appreciated.

Hello all gurus
Been on this site quite a bit but this is a first time post
My problem 1983 classic engine model VT-350 (903)
Found I was leaking quite a bit of antifreeze to the tune of 5 to 6 gallons every 200 miles
I found the braided hose that has a hole in it due to rubbing on the trans housing....please bare with me as I try to describe location. Looking at VT 903 passenger side , right under the turbo to the right, under what I’m gonna call a linkage bridge is where this hose is installed to a 90 degree fitting and that housing is marked with a bunch of #’s one being 155964 air inlet . The braided hose is a heavy Duty braided 1/2 Diameterabout 2’ long and was connected To a much cheaper thinner hose, located by the trans driver side and heads forward. I lose it as soon as it gets past the battery box underneath the coach.
The question? What is it? Where does it go?
What is the housing under turbo.... fuel pump , governor ?
Thanks in advance.

We have the 2 tank setup on our '86. Anyone know offhand what they hold? Owners manual doesn't have the capacities. Thanks,Mark
