Winterizing
#4

On my previous 77 and current 93 I would drain the water tank and water heater, connect an air hose to the water hookup hose and cycle around the coach opening one tap at a time until it was discharging fine mist. I would go around a couple times including draining the water heater. I would open the inlet filter and run the 12V water pump between blowing cycles. I then dump antifreeze in all the traps and into the washing machine and then cycle it to pump out the antifreeze. I remove filters and leave the housing empty until after flushing and sanitizing when recommissioning.

On the 93 I've also sometimes bypassed the water heater,, removed filters, hooked a temporary inlet line to 12V pump and pumped antifreeze through the system. I drain the water heater and the hookup hose. Then the washing machine gets an extra dose os antifreeze before being emptied.

Both methods have protected the water system, but need to be thoroughly done.
