Interesting gmail trick
#1
If you use gmail as your email address this is an interesting trick to help keep spammers from harvesting your email address.  What the article says is that gmail ignores any . in your address and also ignores anything after + if you add either to your address.  So if your address is first.last@gmail.com and you need to sign up somewhere you don't want to get emails from just add an extra . or two.  Then if the spammer doesn't use gmail servers that email address should not work for them.

Yeah, but you're, in essence, forcing yourself to create a spam filter account that you subsequently send to trash. I just use knuj@insertyourfavoritedomainhere.com (knuj is junk spelled backwards). Big Grin
