The age range or price range makes a big difference in number of slides available and major changes such as HWH hydraulic slides vs Valid electric slides and ZF suspension (steering tag axle) availalbility. Both of the units you mention have Valid electric slides although a number of the earlier 2003 models had HWH hydraulic slides. #652 does not have the ZF suspension which was only available starting with SOME but not all of the 2004 models. The 2005 at Motorhomes of Texas #748 does have the ZF suspension. Both are 40'6" long. I don't believe #652 has had the 365 front tire upgrade although #748 has. They are both reasonably low mileage 87k on the '05 and 100k on the 2003 (about 6300 miles/year each). The generator on the '05 has had very little usage (740 hrs) vs 6090 hrs on the '03. If the '05 generator has been run regularly (there are enough hours to have run it monthly) it should have a longer lifespan ahead of it although the '03, if also run regularly should have thousands of hours left on it.

The only Newells shorter than 45' built in 2002 were #616 at 40'6" which I haven't seen listed since 2014 and #632 at 42'6" which I haven't seen listed since 2013. About a year ago, #649, a 2003 42'6" Newell was listed on craigslist in Phoenix. I don't know if it is still available. It and #652 were the only 2003 Newells less than 45'. #700, a 2004 was 43'6" but I believe it was exported and I have never seen it listed for sale. There were no other 2004's less than 45' made. In 2005, #724 was 40'6" but I understand it had a salvage title at one time. It and #748 were the only 2005 models less than 45'. #780, a 2006 at 42'6" was the only 2006 less than 45' and I haven't seen it for sale since Newell resold it in the middle of 2017.
