Just returned from Sacramento.  My brother and sister-in-law bought the 1984!  Send oil and transmission fluid samples to Blackstone Laboratories in Indiana overnight via UPS....they got them at 7:25 am Wednesday morning, and we had results by 3:30 pm their time (1:30 pm our time).  Results were normal.  Spent 10.5 hours going over the Newell with a fine tooth comb.  All four electric heaters (originals) need replacing.  The blower does work, but propane generator will only run for 5 seconds before shutting down.  Suspect solenoid which allows propane to flow to generator is the culprit.  Tires are, indeed. 13 years old and will be replaced Friday before they begin their drive back to Texas.  Took them for a 30 mile test drive.  Glenn did great under all conditions, including 15 miles with a 25 mph cross wind from the left on a two way congested section.  Original Bendix cruise control works well.  Front A/C would not come on as you must turn a switch on the dashboard to the on position first.  Once it was on it worked well.  Rear A/C also works well. Verified that gray water valve does WORK.  In fact everything except the generator works well.  See my blog post here to read about the inspection in detail.
